Tammie

At 23, I had my first massage experience.  While working as a nail tech, managing a salon in Somerset, I was diagnosed with Lymes Disease and was unable to turn my neck.  A massage therapists card had been given to me a year earlier and I had held onto it.  I was unsure what to expect so I did not go until I was in so much pain that I had no other choice.  Within the first ten minutes, I knew massage was something that I would be using regularly.  I was with my first therapist for most of the first 5 years, then I went to massage school myself so that I could help others to feel better.

At 29, I was hit by a vehicle while walking out of work.  It was a senseless accident that the driver could have avoided by paying attention, like all accidents. I have a strong appreciation for rebuilding your life afterwards and the healing process.

I work on men, women and children of all ages. I have worked with Hospice, Womens Healing Groups, Childrens birthday parties-teaching "Safe Touch", "Coming of Age" Parties for tweens as well as Lead Massage Therapist at Massage Envy in Hillsborough. My goal is to restore health and full function to muscles that are restricted and awareness to areas of the body that are holding stress.

Brian

Brian became a massage therapist because he wanted to assist people in their own healing journey.

After seeing the vast improvements he received with massage, he was intrigued to begin learning in this

field. After earning his license for massage therapy in 2019 at Therapeutic Massage Training Center in

Westfield, NJ, he went on to further his studies with trigger point therapy, myofascial release, deep

tissue, holistic nutrition, and other alternative therapies.

His goals for a therapeutic session are listening to the needs of the client and allowing the body to move

more freely thus facilitating the body’s own wisdom. By inducing a parasympathetic (rest and digest)

nervous system response, the body is encouraged into homeostasis. Bodywork has been shown to

improve sleep, remove toxins, improve circulation, and increase overall health to the entire system.
